“It’s a beaut, Clark”, goes the line from one of my personal favorite holiday movies. But in this case my allusion refers not to the Griswold’s copious Christmas light display, but rather the beautiful new CTS coupe. And Clark isn’t anyone I know, but as I said, it’s a favorite and it is December. The Coupe will be available in dealerships spring 2010.   One look at this model, and you’ll want one for yourself!

There are some new amenities/features that will be a part of the new CTS that are different than those found on other Chicago CTS cars.  For example, Cadillac cut a few inches off the roof and added those to the rear track.  The fenders have more flare and the wheels are wider.  Also, the exhaust tips are centered and have a trapezoid-like shape to them.

The CTS will also have great performance on the road.  It comes with a 304-horsepower engine that provides about 27 mpg on the highway.  That is slightly less hp than the Chicago XLR 320 hp V-8 engine, but both models are prime examples of where the Cadillac line is headed.  Also, several packages are available- the Performance (18 inch wheels), Summer Tire (19 inch) and Stabilitrak, which comes standard.

One really cool feature found on the Coupe, that your grandfather’s Chicago used Cadillac does not have, are the handle free doors.  The doors open and shut via a touch pad, giving the car a clean, modern look.   Very cool!

The Chicago CTS cars are going to be exciting and edgy, drawing in a diverse make up of buyers.  I am excited to see this car on lots this spring!

2010-cadillac-cts-wagon-1You’re in the market for a new car.  You don’t necessarily want an SUV, but you need something big enough to haul around your son’s hockey gear.  Well, has your Cadillac Chicago dealer got the auto for you!

The Chicago CTS Sport Wagon has been patterned off of the design that the CTS sedan has.  The sedan has been an extremely popular model for years, so Cadillac designed a version of the CTS that offers the same smooth handling as a sedan, but with the extra cargo space wagons offer.

The sport wagon has beautiful features that I would be happy to show off to my friends.  It has the styling that many come to recognize on Chicago CTS cars – edgy curves and a rear and lift gate that have a V-shape.  This revamped wagon also has some of Cadillac’s classic tail fins that were found on their models in the 1950’s and 60’s.  Definitely an elegant looking design that would look great in anyone’s driveway!

The CTS wagon comes with a v6 engine and there are several options available.  The basic 3.0 L, All wheel drive (AWD), Luxury AWD, v6 Performance and 2 other more powerful options that offer a 3.6 L engine.  The 3.0 L wagons offer 270 horsepower, while the 3.6 L’s power on up to 304 hp. A few features that come standard across the board with the Chicago CTS wagon are 4-wheel ABS and disc brakes, Stability Control System, and Traction Control system.

This vehicle is a great option if you want something in between a car and an SUV.  This Cadillac Chicago model is turning into another successful creative luxury model from the American company that has been dealing in luxury for decades.

The Chicago CTS is going to be hotter and faster!  The CTS-V coupe was named one of the top 6 autos that is worth waiting for by CNN Money.  This newest Cadillac model was unveiled in L.A. at their November auto show.  There is a lot to say about this model!

The CTS-V coupe will share some of the same features as the V-series sedan.  For example, it will have the supercharged v8 engine that gives 556 hp.  Wow, makes me wanna test drive one right now!  Also, two 6 speed transmissions will be available:   The Tremec TR6060 manual that has a dual disc clutch, or the Hydra-Matic 6L90.  The Hydra-Matic  is automatic and has paddle shifters.  Like the Chicago Escalade, this sounds like another great luxury car produced by GM!

The CTS-V Coupe will have some exterior features that the sedan does not.  The coupe will be a 2-door, somewhat sportier looking model.  Of all the Chicago CTS cars, it has the wider of the rear tracks, one inch to be exact…This is a feature that one may or may not notice, but it’s mentioned several times as being an important feature that makes it coupe-like.  Length wise, it will be about 2 inches shorter than the sedan.  The Chicago CTS will be without B-pillars and traditional door handles.  Instead of the handles, the V-coupe has touch pads that give it a clean look.

Inside the CTS coupe, Cadillac has placed some great amenities.  For example, the leather interior has some hand stitched trim on the door, center console and instrument panel.  Talk about high quality!  Technology wise, The coupe comes with Bose sound system, ipod connectivity, pop-up navigation system and more!  These are features that are also found on other Chicago CTS cars.

It sounds like the Cadillac CTS-V coupe will be a welcome addition to the lineup of Cadillac cars.  I can’t wait to see it parked next to the Chicago Escalade later this year!

Cadillac recently lowered the price of one of it’s Chicago CTS cars, the Cadillac CTS Wagon.  The price was reduced $1300, resulting in a base price of $39,150.  Hopefully this will help get some of the wagons off the lots and into the hands of excited drivers!

The wagon is a good vehicle if you are looking for something that drives like a sedan, you like the crossover concept, but might not want the traditional SUV.  This wagon has plenty of cargo space.  It also comes with a roof rack with adjustable bars for transporting a kayak, bikes, or whatever you might need for a long trip.  The good thing is that the rack does not stand out and make the wagon look tacky.  Plenty of cargo and transporting space makes me want to check it out at my Cadillac dealer Chicago.

The design of this wagon is very sleek and luxurious looking, a property that Cadillac employs across the board in new and Chicago Cadillac used cars. When you see one coming your way, take notice of the way the roof-line slopes down, as well as the taillights.  They are around 3 feet tall and come together at the roof-line.  Very distinct.  In the front of the auto, the grille is larger and contains the large Cadillac logo.  All of these put together make for a beautiful wagon!

How does it drive?  The CTS wagon comes in 2, v6 engines.  The base is a 3.0 L, 270 HP and the step up gives 304 Hp and is 3.6 L.   Engines of this power will give you that speed and power you  crave, while toting around your family!  It handles well and has great braking capabilities, features that are found in all Chicago CTS cars.  In fact, the CTS can go from 70-0 MPH in 159 ft- wow!  Moreover, the wagon has smooth steering.   The CTS wagon sounds like a vehicle that would be fun to test drive.

Let’s hope that the lowered price of the wagon gets buyers into their Cadillac dealer Chicago soon to buy this great vehicle

Cadillac turned a lot of heads this year at the Detroit Auto Show.  The Chicago Cadillac XTS concept car was on display and it looks like it’s close to production.  The XTS will replace the STS and DTS models that are currently in showrooms.

The XTS will be a 2 mode hybrid.  It will be built with a 3.6-liter direct-injected V6 engine connected to an electric motor.  Staff for the company told show-goers that it’ll be around 350 HP….Awesome, a little more power than other Chicago Cadillac used cars!

Cadillac promises that this car will have a lot of plush-ness you’d expect in a Caddy.  The XTS concept in Detroit had an interior that wowed.  The term for the interior that is being used is “personal headquarters”.  What this means is that the interior is beautifully crafted with high quality materials like birch wood and suede.  At the same time, the driver and passengers will have plenty of space for a comfortable ride!  In the back seat, there are 2 screens for separate entertainment features and for the driver there is an interactive touchscreen.  The Chicago Cadillac XTS is one beauty!

Outward, the Cadillac model has 20 inch wheels (on Platinum XTS) and a long wheel base. The stat listed right now for the total length of the car is around 200 inches.  The signature front grill and vertical lights are also found on this sedan.  The XTS will most likely be available in two models: a more “traditional” sedan and sportier version.  The sporty option may appeal to those Caddy fans who fell in love with the Chicago XLR.

Features found on other Chicago Cadillac used cars will probably make their way into the XTS.  Some of these include heated and cooled front and rear seats, lane-departure warning, front and curtain side air bags, and a more than adequate sound system.  One feature that may be bigger and better is a “multi-mode electric system”.   It will adjust steering, suspension, braking, and throttle, based on driving conditions.

The XTS is set to be ready for sales as a 2013 model.  I cannot wait to take a test drive!

Instead of getting even more power and torque out of neighbouring brands like the Audi RS 6, the BMW M5, or the Mercedes-Benz E 63, Geiger chose to cross the Atlantic and create a monster out of a beast. The Cadillac CTS-V already comes packed to the hilt with a supercharged
